Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is l. Ellis, is an American producer and actress who has worked in theater as well as television and film productions and is actively involved across both sides of the screen. She began acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent, as well as television shows. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Apart from Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her performances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her work in television she's received praise for her role as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
